DORAL, Fla. – Five Miami-Dade police officers have been relieved of duty pending an investigation, multiple law enforcement sources told Local 10 News on Friday.
The five officers serve on a team within the department, sources said.
The Miami-Dade Police Department later confirmed that the officers were relieved of duty Wednesday in connection with an internal probe.
Authorities didn’t elaborate on the nature of the investigation and a Miami-Dade police spokesperson said the agency was unable to identify the officers because they all work in an undercover capacity.
Officials said no arrests have been made and no other agencies, state or federal, are investigating.
