Quarterhill Inc. said it has signed a patent-license agreement with Apple Inc. that includes the settlement and dismissal of all pending litigation.
The Toronto-based technology holding company said that all pending litigation has been dismissed between its subsidiary WiLAN Inc. and WiLAN's subsidiary Polaris Innovations Ltd., and Apple.
Quarterhill said the details of the agreement are confidential.
In early February, the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled in WiLAN's favor regarding several of the company's arguments, including those relating to patent infringement and to patents-in-suit.
