Paul Finebaum made his regular appearance on WJOX on Monday morning, and looked ahead to next week’s SEC Media Days about the hottest topic he expects to address in Nashville.

The ESPN commentator put the attention squarely on Kirby Smart as the Georgia coach will face questions about the culture of his program off the field.

“What is he going to say, if anything, to address the constant issues in his program off the field. There are no issues on the field, we all know that, but there are a number of them off the field,” Finebaum said on “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning. “I fully expect him to deal with it front and center. I think that’s who he is. He knows he will be asked about it, and so I think that’s really the first thing you look for.”

Other news items Finebaum expects to see are Commissioner Greg Sankey addressing the future of college football, and whatever Nick Saban speaks about. And there’s always a surprise story of the week that no one expects, he said.

“I do know that the commissioner spends a great deal of time preparing for this moment, it’s a big moment,” Finebaum said. “Not only are the people in that room paying attention, the people watching on television, but everyone in college sports is looking for a signal, a sign, 3 puffs of white smoke from Greg Sankey into really what is his thought process in relation to the biggest issues in college sports.”
