Change is coming for the New England Patriots whether it’s by their own choosing or not. They currently have 22 expiring contracts heading into 2024, and some big decisions will have to be made on what to do with them.
The team appears to be on the verge of tanking with a 1-5 record in their first six games of the season. They lack the talent to compete in a loaded AFC East division, and their 2023 schedule is too brutal for any realistic hopes of a turnaround.

There’s also the elephant in the room being Bill Belichick’s future with the team. Is this the year where Robert Kraft finally makes the tough decision to part ways with the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach?
Per Over the Cap, the Patriots are projected to be second only to the Chicago Bears in most projected cap space in the league. So the team is in perfect position to start a complete rebuild, if they so choose. But what would that mean to the pending contracts already on the roster?
