Charges are pending in a recent larceny and attempted larceny at Lowe’s Home Improvement, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
The crimes are unrelated, Chief Shane Guyant said.
One larceny occurred on December 14 and the attempted larceny occurred Saturday.
Two people in the December 14 larceny of a generator are in custody in Nash County for charges unrelated to the Lowe’s matter, Guyant said.
He said Curtis Lamont Pitts, 21, of Enfield, was arrested Friday for an armed robbery that occurred in Whitakers.
Tamia Gillis, who was with Pitts in the December 14 Lowe’s larceny, will also be charged. She is also 21 and from Enfield.
Guyant said a Tarboro man — Kenneth Wayne Neal, 36 — has not been taken into custody for the Saturday attempted larceny of a number of large items.
Loss prevention thwarted the heist, Guyant said.
